Testing Frugalware - 02
Hmm! I had nearly decided to format my Frugalware. But as I was sitting in the train from Andheri to Vashi, I thought there's no harm in going through it once again. So I booted my laptop into Frugalware and went into the dark passages of /etc/ . I really liked the simplicity and straight forwardness of the scripts. I successfully configured my network. Got hold of the package manager.
But when I tried to update the package manager itself, it told me to download 500 MB of packages.
I have a ( 400 MB / 2Mbps ) internet plan, so downloading 500 MB will cost me some money. I didn't like the idea, so I stopped it.
I also had problems while shutting down my system. After some time got bored of it. I have downloaded the ISOs of CRUX and CCLinux. I am going to try both. But what I am really looking for is something like Debian from Scratch. I tried searching for it, but got 404.
